ABYSSES

There is no doubt that I have three preferred subjects in my work: water, mountains and classical nudes. It is fabulous to be able to combine all three, but it is always a challenge for model and photographer. Cold water, hard granite rocks, slippery ground and the long exposure times are real toughness tests. In addition to working on waterfalls, I like to travel in wild gorges. In the beginning, I was often drawn to the »Murgtal« in the northern Black Forest, which was almost overflowing. Meanwhile, I prefer to be in the hidden Tobeln in the southern Black Forest, in the inaccessible »Achtälern« in Vorarlberg and in the »Dantesque Gorges« of the Venetian Dolomites.
