SANDSTONES

I am a big fan of landscapes characterized by red Sansdstone rocks and green hills. Yes, of course colors disappear in my kind of photography. But it’s a very relaxing job in a normally calm and peaceful environment. I think this slower mood is spreading to my models. I hope you can feel the closeness to nature and our roots, far away from today’s speed, volume and stress. This series is both photography and recovery – with a spirit of discovery. These pristine landscapes with huge pillars of rock, sharp edges and steep walls have to be explored on foot and stroll through forests and valleys until you see this perfect place. These pictures come from the Elbe Sandstone Mountains (»Stieganland«), the Palatinate Forest (»Altschloss« and »Drachenfels«), the Thuringian Forest and the Eifel.
